The Tourism and Hospitality Management Program is designed to introduce students to the tourism industry giving an overview of what the industry entails. It is, therefore, imperative for the youth to understand the underlying philosophy and principles of tourism in a formal setting in order to get a holistic picture of tourism, which would include importance, advantages, and disadvantages. The students who study this curriculum will acquire knowledge, foster attitudes, and develop the necessary skills in order to be able to work in the field of tourism and hospitality after graduation. Furthermore, these students would be sensitized enough to better grasp the implications of being members of a tourism-oriented society and, thus, make appropriate decisions as to the extent of their involvement in the tourism trade. Consequently, they could propel the country to new heights in cultural and economic prosperity and make it possible for the people of the nation to benefit in terms of jobs, education, and services.
